A lot of my personal struggles have been coming to a head lately. It seems that situations keep rising to the surface that require me to demonstrate that I have grown and can react differently. Here’s the truth: Sometimes, I do AND sometimes, I can’t.
Trying to balance all the many aspects and layers of healing is difficult, especially when you tie in other factors that contribute to it. On top of that, above all else, you have to come to terms with the fact that you are human. And gosh, what a trip all of it is when you’re trying to figure it out in your head.
So where do we go from here? When everything is too much and we can’t decipher whether we’re right or wrong or coming from a place of trauma or of healing? What happens when we can’t figure out if the way we’re handling situations is because we feel triggered or because we are finally speaking up for ourselves? Are our apologies genuine or because we feel like we have no choice? The lines can feel so blurry.
